The combination of the PA-RISC processors and the Hewlett-Packard HP-UX operating system allows Stratus Continuum systems to run any HP-9000 binary software without change. Shrink-wrapped HP-UX software, either from HP or from a third party, can simply be loaded and run on the Continuum system.
