Challenge:

Over the last three years, this major stock exchange has experienced a dramatic increase in trading activities, putting a strain on system performance, speed and scalability. Deciding it was time for an upgrade, the company looked to Stratus Technologies, its longtime, trusted continuous availability solutions partner.

Solution:

The Stratus Solutions Services team assessed the client’s needs and helped them implement an upgrade plan. The high performing ftServer^® V Series was recommended, as it will enable the client’s high-volume applications to grow to new levels of performance and capacity. To fully leverage the platform, Stratus also helped the client upgrade and tune its in-house trading application and the middleware used for integration. Stratus engineers then simulated a near-production environment, gathering information to identify and perform an in-depth investigation into any potential issues that may arise. 

Result:

Problem situations were recreated, analyzed, tested and resolved, thus assuring the client that its objectives had been achieved. As an added bonus, the entire project was successfully completed in just two months.
