Challenge:

The client wanted to upgrade its VOS-based computer solution with a more current version of the operating system and develop a disaster recovery (DR) site.

Solution:

A team from Stratus Solutions Services stepped in to see the client through the total migration project. First, they helped the retailer migrate from its XA/R system to the Stratus^® Continuum^® platform. Then Stratus and its partners, S2 and SCI Group, worked with the client to upgrade and test the applications, performing software conversions where necessary. From planning to implementation, the entire project was completed in just eight months. Next, Stratus experts carefully reviewed, with the client, the required hardware, software and logistical specifications to implement a successful DR site.

Result:

The state-of-the-art facility, which is currently in development, will provide this retail grocer added protection and peace of mind for many years to come.
