The Continuum Series delivers exceptional levels of processing power. Systems based on the PA-RISC 8500 and 8600 microprocessors are available in uni or twin symmetric multiprocessor configurations.
Every Series 400 server uses replicated, fault-tolerant hardware to eliminate single points of failure and protect data integrity. Major components - CPUs, memory boards, input/output controllers, buses, power supplies, and fans - are duplexed and operate in lockstep. In the event of a failure, the paired component continues normal operations.
This use of Stratus Continuous Processing technology eliminates the operational complexity and high costs inherent in high-availability alternatives.
