Determining Revisions of Installed VOS/OpenVOS Software

2.9.2011Availability, ServiceBy: Unless good records are kept when VOS products are installed, determining the revision of all the products on a module can be a daunting task. Some programs have parameters that can be used to display the current version information. There are also tools that will display program information like display_program_module and get_pm_version, but there is currently nothing that will attempt to do this for all of the installed software products.

This is why I created the following command macro that can be executed on your module to provide some of this information. It has one optional parameter (-long) that can be specified to list all the software products being checked and the minimum <major>.<minor> release of VOS required for the product.
