MAYNARD, Mass., Aug. 9, 2005 – Stratus Technologies, Inc.’s products and services racked up satisfaction rates of between 93 and 100 percent in a recently completed third-party survey of the company’s customers.
The survey, conducted by consulting firm The Omega Group, netted a 40 percent return rate, far above the industry average of 25 percent. It covered the time period from August ’04 to June ‘05. Overall satisfaction among Stratus customers was at 97 percent, and almost 70 percent gave Stratus the highest possible grades (exceeds and highly exceeds) across all categories of products and services for the time period surveyed.
The Stratus® ftServer® line of continuously available servers for Microsoft Windows® topped out at 98 percent customer satisfaction, while the Continuum® server line topped out at 100 percent. Technical support and services earned a 95 percent ranking. Satisfaction with Stratus as a company and technology partner ranged from 94 to 97 percent.
Among customers’ responses in the comments section were: "You have the best service in the industry. I especially like having a live person answer the phone," and "I like what you do and how you do it. Until I have a problem, I don't know how you can improve."
The survey also asked customers to suggest improvements. Among their suggestions were:
- more aggressively notifying customers when third-party upgrades have been tested and cleared for implementation;
- distributing lists of add-on products that have been validated to work with Stratus technology.
"It’s always gratifying to hear that customers are pleased with our service because it validates the investment we make in our service operations and the dedication of our staff members who work with customers around the clock," said Bill Lowe, Stratus senior vice president, Customer Care. "However, we pay even more attention to what they’re not satisfied with, or would like to see more of, so we continuously improve our services. That’s the reason we’ve been ahead in the customer service business, and the reason we’re going to stay ahead."
