    Stratus ftServer 4300 System Rack-mount Stratus' ftServer® W Series 4300 System Boasts of Edge Technology, Price/Performance Leadership

    On September 12, 2005, Stratus Technologies announced the availability of the ftServer® W Series 4300 system, an entry-level business-processing application server with three times the system performance and eight times the I/O bandwidth of its predecessor, at a lower price. Like all Stratus® systems, this newest Intel® processor-based server delivers better than 99.999% uptime reliability in continuous 24/7 operation.

    As the second model in the Stratus® ftServer® W 4000 Series, the new server possesses the industry’s most advanced technology for continuously available processing.

    Stratus Online Software Upgrade Technology — Available In 2006

    Stratus Technologies, Inc. announced first-of-its-kind technology for fault-tolerant Microsoft® Windows® operating system environments that will enable customers to perform online software upgrades and critical operating system hot fixes without having to take the server or application offline.     Stratus Participates at Fall VON Event

    Stratus recently exhibited at the fall Voice on the Net (VON) show held in Boston, Massachusetts, September 19-22, 2005. The VON show focuses on the convergence of the telecom and Internet industries and attracts both industries’ top service providers. Stratus highlighted the Converged Personalized Services suite, Mobile Call Convergence product, and the multi-protocol signaling gateway.

    Stratus Exhibits at MVNO Conference

    Stratus also recently exhibited at the Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO) conference held September 7-8, 2005, in New York City. Stratus presented both our Converged Wide Area Synchronization solution and the ftServer® T Series systems.

    In addition, the over 200 attendees were able to learn more about the Missed Call Advisor solution from Atos Origin, the Advant Prepaid solution from TTI and the Enhanced Charging Service platform from NetSpira Networks among other solutions.

    Three New Telecommunications White Papers Now Available

    • Stratus recently completed three new white papers detailing new services within our Converged Personalized Services solution suite.

      The first describes Stratus' Mobile Call Convergence solution, which addresses service providers’ need for fixed mobile convergence services. The second details Stratus' Signaling Gateway, ISSG, product that allows services developed in either the legacy or IP-based network to be shared. The third paper on Stratus Converged Wide Area Synchronization solution addresses the need for customers to access data from any device over any network.

      ActiveService Manager 5.0 Available

    Stratus is pleased to announce the availability of ActiveService Manager (ASM) 5.0, a global, real-time information portal accessible to customers and business partners. As of Monday, August 1, 2005 the ActiveService Manager Web site has been updated to release 5.0.

    Customers benefit from secure Web-based access to a worldwide call tracking system that allows them to view an instant snapshot of Stratus service activity throughout the enterprise.

    Business partners and key OEMs, VARs, and software vendors can also use the ASM to more fully leverage Stratus’ remote service capabilities to monitor and support their ftServer-based applications.

    Now available: Availability SmartPack 5.0

    The Availability SmartPack service from Stratus Technologies is for telecommunications service providers, banks, manufacturers, public safety organizations, and other groups that need to provide continuously available application solutions. The Stratus® Availability SmartPack is an element management subscription service that proactively identifies and addresses problem situations before they become catastrophic. This service complements general-purpose network management applications, such as PATROL® by BMC Software, Inc., HP® Openview, and IBM® Tivoli®, by providing secure access to in-depth product knowledge and internal engineering design characteristics not available from any other source.
